The barcode derby

Anyone else finding it a bit odd how the co-commentator for this is (the clearly very biased) Niall Quinn?

Surely that's a bit like them asking Tango man to co-commentate on us v Palarse?

  • Yeah very strange. Hope PDC and co win though.
  • Robbin Elliot coming on !
  • Biggest game of his career ?
  • Pardew's reaction to that disallowed goal was priceless. Have that you big nosed turnip
  • As was Quinn's reaction. Originally called it "half a yard offiside" - until someone must've pointed out what a fool he was making of himself!
  • 4 key decisions in this game so far. All wrong. Surely the officiating has to improve at some point? The linesman even had a white line to help him then.
  • Linesman was wrong with the disallowed goal but how anyone can blame him for that decision is beyond me.
  • It wasnt offside, it didnt look offside and he had a white line to help him with one player one side and the other on the other side. How can you not question it?
  • great goal

  • PDC doing his best Mourinho impression.
  • Not too bad here in Oz, Curb's is the co-commentater. A very insightful view compared to some of the clowns we get!
  • this is brilliant
  • 3-0 PDC didn't know whether to join in the player bundle or not.
  • Take that, big nose!
  • Thats why everybody who has supported a team with PDC in loves him. Talk about passion!
  • Blimey, those pictures of PDC beating his chest when that 3rd goal went in, he certainly is going ape!
  • Not sure this weekend could get much better? The Suns out too

  • Paolo's dry cleaners going to do a roaring trade, looking at the amount of mud on his trousers after that knee slide celebration.
  • You've got to smile.

That man is one loveable nutcase !
  • Just to top the weekend off;

The moment Pardew and co thought they'd equalised, celebrating towards PDC.

  • I hope that miserible sod Martin O'Whinge is watching. He phoned his big mate at the BBC Pat Murphy after getting sacked and did a full interview that was featured on prime time radio 5 and on Football Focus. Wanted to put his side over, made clear he thought he'd been hard done boy and would have saved Sundland. What he was basing that theory on is anyone's guess. Sunderland have been woeful under him, basically in a worse position then when Steve Bruce left. Why do people go on about him being inspirational? The lack of leadership at Sunderland has been so obvious all season. The board took a gamble for sure with their appointment. Di Canio still might not save them but to deliver a thumping away Derby win, the biggest for nearly 50 years, will give the fans something to saviour for a long, long time.
Any suggestion that players get themselves "up" for Derbies etc and Di Canio's influence is overstated, well Sunderland haven't beaten Newcastle since 2008. The players are even trying to play and score like the great man.
  • lol pardew and is that woodman our ex goalie coach giving it ....

i mean am i the only bore in football who always checks with the lino before going wibble
