The emotion in his voice is a clear indication of his genuine love and passion for this club, team and fans. A real gentleman and special man.
Really pleased Richard Murray spoke as well.

I wonder how many other managers would speak from the heart as he did? Not many, I wager.
A season of transition has seen CAFC go from League One Champions to Championship competency.
There have been ups and downs, as CP said, with more ups than downs. Improvement, improvement. I'm very pleased for him.

I think it is an honour for THIS man to manage OUR club. Chris Powell is the paradigm of class. Love the guy.

I think he has realised himself that he's superhuman. "Nobody is going to stop us".

I couldn't imagine another man in the dugout apart from Curbs. And now I don't ever want anybody there who isn't Chris Powell.

Does the Kent Senior Cup mean nothing to you! There's no pleasing some fans : - )

Incidentally in todays Guardian article on the Championship the writer says Gus Poyet and Chris Powell are the two best achieving managers in the division.

A huge turning point in the season for me was the support at home to Cardiff when we were 2 goals down. I think Chrissy really appreciated that and we are so aligned now. I recall our rise under Curbs and there was a point where we were the 12 man in games. I recall Fergie mentioning what an intimidating place the Valley was for opponents. We lost that with the slump, when a setback was always compounded by the reaction, but Sir Chris has helped us find it again. We are there to intimidate refs and opponents, not our own players and so great we have rediscovered that magic. Thank you Sir Chris.

It just lifts your heart having him in charge. He leads the club in the very best of ways with integrity, honesty, respect and humility. You would run through a wall for him.
I absolutely bloody love the bloke.
  • Change in atmosphere at Charlton has been a good thing - CP enjoys a massive amount of goodwill from the fans who want him to succeed.
There have been low points this season
but the fans haven't turned on the tean like they would have done under Pardew or Parky. The comebacks against Cardiff and Bolton were standouts for me
Really pleased with the way we've finished the season....

If you have 'player' you can listen to Powells post match press conference.
No comment needed really, utter utter class, lovely to hear his mention of the Cardiff home game in particular.
  • Agree with everything said and written about SCP.If kids want a role model, look no further. Is there anyone who can't say good about him--if so,I'd like to meet that person.Fantastic temperament, puts everyone at ease, continually driven to excel, knows football inside out,Charlton through and through. What more could we want from a manager?
