QPR - what is there to like?

However bad things have been for us over the last few years I thank God I'm not a QPR fan. They epitomise all that is bad about the game and their chairman seems naive to say the least.
To spend so much money and achieve so little must be pretty galling. Surprised Redknapp is sticking around - can't see him getting them back up unless there is a big clearout of all the deadwood they've got. How can they support their wage bill in the Championship?

Let's say Harry is getting paid £500k a year and stands to benefit from selling players on at a profit etc, can you think of a good reason why he's hanging around?

Presumably he was on a healthy bonus if he managed to keep QPR in the Premier League as well...

They couldn't support it in the Premiership either - but if Fernandes wants to hose his money away then that's his business.

Given their resources they should do but after the failures of Blackburn and Wolves this season you can't be sure.....

That's what gets me about rich owners in football - its all loans to the club a lot of the time. Either put your money in because you want to and can afford to write it off, or don't.

That's right. We took 750 there for a midweek game, Parkinson's first in charge as caretaker manager. Don't recall ever being in such a small turnout for an away London derby.

I always used to like QPR, but Fernandes seems to be going out of his way to make them utterly detestable. As long as Dodge 'Arry's there I hope they fail miserably.

I've met Tony Fernandes and he is a smart man. I wouldn't underestimate him. He is a great believer in learning from his mistakes and is not afraid to admit them and correct them - more than many people do. I wouldn't bet against him sorting their problems out. He has built a highly successful airline in Asia, Air Asia, which has had a strategy of pushing new boundaries but not being afraid to pull back if something doesn't work.

Really don't think anyones shedding tears over their relegation.Threw a lot of money at it,paid players way over the odds.These players would not get anywhere near the the top prem sides,and expects instant success.Some people lose the plot where football is concerned.

All football owners are great business men, but the sport is fall of chancers, not to name names but Redknappe, Pardew and Venebals, who take advantage over people who lack real specialist knowledge of the sport.

Its going to be an interesting time, if they do not lose their quality stars then on paper they will pee the league, but wether the stars can hack being kicked every week is an other matter. one thing I have noticed about this league is that every club is capable of kicking and hacking opponents, something that does not happen so often in the Prem.

Fire sale is happening at QPR as we speak.
Very few owners can think of paying the money they're paying to players in the prem let alone the champ.

Think they'll lean on the remains of the group that got them to the prem and do ok next year.
