Do you play as other teams in FIFA 13???

Strangely I actually find it boring playing as Charlton in FIFA, I find it more rewarding to take a smaller L1 or L2 team I have a soft spot for to glory.

Playing as Hartlepool at the mo in L1 (legendary difficulty) currently sitting around 10th in the table halfway through the season, hoping to put a run late together and surge into the playoffs.

  • It sounds like you probably need to get out more!
  • Why even bother reading the thread, KHA, let alone responding?

OP - Just started a career as Atletico, can't be bothered to go down to L1 on this one. Might well do on Fifa 14 though. Woking and Kettering were always my lower league teams of choice, but not in the league any more!
  • Fook me i hate to say this but nigels are very good on the game

pls better stats for us in 14

I do play this game, and not always as Charlton, but I don't play whole seasons as other teams. Taking a team from a lower division to win things must take hours and hours and hours.

In my view if anyone is spending that long on a video game playing by themselves they are probably, depending on one's view, missing out on doing other things.

It's only my view, but I know plenty of people that reached middle age and wondered where all the years went when they meet others that have done so many amazing things. As enjoyable as it is to spend a couple of hours a month playing FIFA I do have other things in my life.

I opened the thread as I am interested in what others on here do. I just didn't expect to read that someone was spending as long on it as they seem to be. I certainly didn't intend to sound like someone's parent - I spend long enough nagging my own son to find something else to do than video games.
  • only really use fifa for UT and to play my mates. Football manager on the other hand... i love taking small clubs up the leagues on a budget.

    Just wow.....

It is possible to save your progress in FIFA as youre no doubt aware, so what makes you think we all spend hours upon hours in front of FIFA everyday to the exclusion of everything else??

Personally I spend maybe 3 hours a week playing FIFA. A WEEK. Spread across the 7 days when I can be bothered.

does anyone pretend to have a press conference after playing a game, complaining about the ref and explaing why you changed
the tactics to a 1-1-1-1-1-4-1 formation?

    no?

    just me then..

A poor assumption on my part. I apologise!

    Fair play.
  • KHA - fair play. But a couple of points I thought of... I listen to TED talks when I play FIFA. Football while getting an education... that's never a waste of time!

Besides, is it any worse than visting an internet forum 3,000 times (not including when you've remained logged in)?
