surely we must be mad to let him join up with the England squad if his knee is still dodgy aren't we?

    A bit of a tricky situation, as I understand it he's only "doubtful" for tomorrow, if he pulls out of the England squad today, but plays for Charlton tomorrow then it looks like he/the club are sticking two fingers up at England, which might set his England career back, and let's face it England managers usually have to be forced at gunpoint to select players outside the favoured few teams. My guess is that he'll have a late fitness test tomorrow morning and then Pardew will decide whether he plays or not for Charlton and if he's not fit for us then he'll withdraw from the England squad.

    As an aside...if DB does play for England then don't we owe Ipswich some money for playing in a competitive international?

    Darren will be playing tomorrow.

    Whether he is 100% or not i don't know, but he will be starting.
