Can't seem to keep a clean sheet either. Sack the board.

Going a bit too far there. Just close the academy.

Not far enough. Dissolve the entire club.

I'm sure Callum is playing because this is the team he has come through the years with, and he simply wants to play. .

Agreed. He tweeted on Friday about being sad there were no more training sessions this season, so I would imagine he put himself forward for this one. He loves the game! Good on him!!
Will be good for the other u21s to play with a first teamer and show that if their mate cal can make the step up, they can too.

Could have been a clean sheet too- their goal came after Pope's clearance kick rebounded off his own man and looped to their striker. It was 'close' for a while after that, until Pigott notched our third then put away the penalty for 4-1.

    Just back from the game.

Remember watching Pigott score 2 against Leicester in the youth cup last year at PVR but not being overly impressed. What a difference a year makes, following his loan at Bromley he looks the complete player. Holds the ball up so much better now, good passing and clinical finishing.

Agreed previously with NLA that Azeez was the one for the future, but think now he has been usurped by Pigott and also Smith who looked good when he came on.

Sounds daft now, but a worrying10 minutes when 2-1, after a Pope cock up, but in the end we could have had 10 as their defence was shocking.

Apart from Yann and Wiggy think everyone else from the 18 on Saturday were present as well which shows good team spirit etc.

That Harriott may be worth a go in the first team next season:)

Great result. Would love to see a couple more of the youngsters getting into the first team next season.

This...they certainly wouldn't look out of place. Should we look here - the heart of the club - for next season's squad before signing another bunch of loanees?

Another convincing team performance from the U21's this afternoon, good luck in the finals which I hear are trying to be scheduled for this Saturday depending on the result of tonight's Northern League semi between Leicester and Cardiff ko 7pm.

It was great to watch the U21s finish their home campaign with a resounding 6-1 win.It has been a wonderful Season all round watching the U18s and the U21s win their respective Championships.A fine display with Joe Pigott the star with four goals. But as with most recent Charlton displays it was a team effort. The defence was tight with Semi Ajayi and Kevin Feely solid and Bradley Jordan producing a great bit of skill to earn a penalty.

He was the defender that signed for Man Utd a few years ago. From what I've been told he's not progressed as hoped and hasn't shown a good attitude.

Still he's young enough to turn it around.

In that case I'm pleased that Cardiff beat them...

...except we might have made the trip to Leicester but unlikely to go to Wales .
