Building up well for the annual survival Sunday. I hope people made early bets on Newcastle to go down as the odds would have been nice at the time for something that looks, I would say, likely.

Wigan know how to do it and if they win tonight Newcastle are in the bottom 3 all on 36 games played.

Would be funny.

Had a tenner on Newcastle at 9/1 in January, think they've been both longer and shorter than that at various points since then.

Regardless of the bet, I'd love to see them go down.

If Newcastle go down, I can see them maintaining a near EPL budget and probably going back up regardless of who is the manager at that point. If you agree with that viewpoint and were an investor considering putting money in Charlton, would you put it in this coming season when you percieved there was one less promotion place to play for or would you wait another year?

I'm backing Wigan to stay up...even if they lose tonight and Norwich or Sunderland to go down. If I have to choose I'll go for Norwich - 2 wins in 19!

I'm sure people were saying the same thing about Wolves and Blackburn this time last season.
