Bringing Back Darren Randolph

Given that Motherwell Manager Stuart McCall thinks there is only a "slim possibility" that goalkeeper Darren Randolph will stay on should we sign him to challenge Ben Hamer?

Yes if he fits in the wage structure.

Why - are we not keeping Button?

Randolph looked like a top keeper with us but I like hamer as well. Don't think a new keeper is a priority.

We have two good keepers already and Pope coming through as the third keeper. How many keepers do we want?

They'll never score against us with 4 people in goal :)

He's already left us to not be second fiddle he won't come back to be second choice again goalkeepers is probably our strongest position he's not needed.

Exactly what I was going to say when I saw this thread. He decided to do one when he couldn't be guaranteed first choice, he's not going to fare much better now

More than happy with Hamer as no. 1 - he's made mistakes and will make more, but so would any other keeper we'd could hope to sign... and as has been said Randolph wont want to come and play second fiddle.

thought he was a better keeper than Elliot in the games i saw him play.Remember the first leg in the playoffs at swindon played really well.Cant see him return and sit on the bench

I don't think Randy will appear here again, in a charlton shirt

He is highly thought of in Scotland, good chance he'll go Celtic. Seeing as his contract is up, I'll be surprised if he's a Motherwell player at the start of the new season.

Happily have him competing with Button if we got a really good bid for Hamer. Otherwise as others have said, our GK department is very strong.

I liked Randolph a lot when he was here. Not sure we really need another keeper right now, but you can never have too many good players so if the price/wage was right why not?

Is he better than what we have now ? No, so we don't need him. Spend any money on the midfield and a striker!

We certainly don't need him in addition to Hamer.
  • Would love Randolph back but can't see it.

Really? Has anyone watched Motherwell that much that they can say that?

He's been in the SPL Team of the Season two years in a row.

    GK's not a priority though.
