Leicester vs Watford

Don't like either but hope Leicester win against the cheating Udinese B team.

  • working in my firm's Leicester office today and staying over tonight, contemplating going (but probably only if anyone in here has a spare freebie!)

think Leicester might win the playoffs now
  • I really want Leicester to win tonight, then Brighton to hammer the scum tomorrow. Mild preference for Brighton to win the play-off final and gain promotion, simply because I admire their style of football and Gus Poyet as a manager.

Brighton or Leicester for me too. Preferably Brighton.

Sorry to Super_horns but come on the foxes..
  • Brighton to win play offs.

Leicester going up might be better for us for a couple of reasons.

    1. Pearson won't be sacked so no chance of Powell being offered his job

    2. Some of the fringe Leicester players might become available on loan to a club where one of there ex-coaches is manager

Plus we beat the Foxes home and away so can moan about how we were better than them but didn't go up blah, blah, blah.

Still think Watford will go up but ABP is all I really care about.

  • Leicester to beat BHA in the final and gain promotion as well as Bradford and Brentford from the lower divisions. Such a climax to the season will boost my bank account balance and go a long way to pay for a nice few days away somewhere semi-tropical
  • Butlins?
  • Butlins?

It's Queensland if it all works out .. Scarborough if it don't !!
  • Find myself wanting Leicester to win the whole thing.

Palace - obviously reasons for wanting them to crash and burn.
    Watford - cheaty, diving team
Brighton - don't like Poyet at all

  • I want the team who we got the least amount of points from this season to get promoted!

You want Palace to go up?
  • If they go up and potentially embarrass themselves, yes.
  • People fearing Powell might be poached by Leicester - he was only there for a short time, surely he has more afffection for us? I know they're a bigger club, but surely he would remain loyal to us if Leicester came calling?
  • I judge my preference on who I want to get promoted by ease of away day travel - therefore, come on Leicester !
  • Bigger club, my arse!!
  • I don't have a preference as to who I want to go up, just who I DON'T want to go up, and that's only Palace. Not bothered about the other three.
  • I think Watford will go up beating Brighton in the final 2-1

Same here - want Brighton to stuff Palace in both legs, then don't care. If anything I'd like Brighton to stay down for selfish reasons - good away day.
  • I believe I'm correct in saying that Watford have a transfer embargo in place until the end of the summer window, so for comedy reasons I'd like them to go up, lose some of their loan signings and then not be able to bring any more Premier quality players in. Relegated by November? Records could be broken...!

  • I hope Leicester wins as Watford is a local one for me. Can't see Leicester getting through though.
  • Watford for me... A squad of 14 in the prem next year would be brilliant.
  • I want Brighton to do well as a club as they've gone about things the right way. Plus this would mean that they would be beating Palace in the semis. However, I didn't get to go to the Amex this season so would like the chance next year if possible.

Anyone but Palace is my overall mentality.

That's only until the 31 August so could sign loans/free contracts afterwards. And even before 31/08 they can buy players with the FAs approval - but it isn't really clear under what circumstances approval would be granted/denied.
  • don't think it's an actual embargo forbidding signings but that they need permission first before making signings
  • Oh well, in that case, Leicester! :)
  • Watford are in my bet tonight so come on you Hornets!

Therefore due a win against us too.

To flip it on it's head, if Leicester did get promoted then Pearson is likely to be sacked duing next season if Leicester are struggling. Leicester being in the Prem might be more of an incentive for Powell to leave at that point..

That right..it was only discussed the other day!

I reckon Brighton will win overall.
