We have some very talented youngsters. I just hope they progress and we can accommodate them in our team.

Well done LL for the updates throughout.

This team has real quality, to have won their league, Kent Senior Cup and now the National Champions. Couldn't have gone any better. The future is bright and very excited. Really hope to see these youngsters progress into the first team. I expect a few will do and also be included in a lot of pre season games. A year to really push on now for a few of these lads. One thing too, these young players aren't just below 21, in theory we have a young group here meaning it's even more impressive.

Well done to all, and a big well done to Nathan Jones too.

    Come on you reds!

Just receiving their medals - sound quite a few Addicks there to support them.

Sounds like they nearly forgot to lift the trophy ...but YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

Charlton Athletic are officially Champions !!!

Agree but not with Charlton just yet.

Remember Piggott was on loan to Bromley last term.

Get them out to leagues 1 and 2

Great achievement and such a shame there is no automatic promotion. Maybe we can pull a fast one like Palace did.

It sounded like a great game by the young Addicks, and was certainly an excellent commentary by Peter, Terry and Olly - well done to all concerned, and three great striker finishes!!

Henry, how did Palace get promoted?

This is the inaugural season so there was no promotion. Palace have "category 1" status. To earn this you have to show that you have been reliant upon your youth products in the past. Palace, having produced a number of average Championship players who feature in their first team and therefore fall into this category, however as our best young talent has gotten sold to Premier League clubs e.g. Shelvey to Liverpool, Jenkinson to Arsenal, we fall into "category 2". This should however help our goal of being granted category 1 status.

I agree up to a point.Pigott has come on in leaps and bounds this Season.Seems like a natural goalscorer.Joe is not ready for a first team place yet but I think that Feely and Smith should be pushing for a first team squad place.I am really impressed with both of them,as I am to a lesser degree with the whole U21 squad.

Well done to Crouchy, one goal and one assist.
A great lad who will make a fine Charlton player.

If they are good enough they are old enough. What I have seen of Pigott, definitely worth a spell on the bench to come on at some stage, particularly when you look at the current strikers we have next season.

LOL but in case anyone is confused not true.

Palace aren't cat 1 but somehow got to play in the cat 1 league. Paul Hart wasn't pleased.

You can't get promoted as such. The league you play in should reflect your academy status but since palace got away with maybe so can we.

Another great result, well done to all involved.

Smith will be 22 next season and Feely 21, hope to see them get a chance in the first team. Pope aside the others are all a couple of years younger so have a bit more time to play at this level.

Piggot wears no 11 - so enthused by his development this year. IMO good impact sub next year or league 1 loan first half of next season.
