This was prompted from walking in the front door and completely forgetting what I was carrying in my hand and ordered from the station chippy ten mins earlier.

So the question is, what has been (non rude) the best ever surprise you received ?

Mine was for my 30th, opening tickets to New York.

What was yours ?

Can't think of any really good ones, but while we're on the subject - when those people got bought into tge Surprise Surprise studio to tell Cilla all about their long lost brother, why were they so surprised when they bought them out? Had they never seen the show before?

I would have enjoyed it if she'd gone "Well surprise, surprise... We couldn't track him down."

Being told we'll be having a meeting with an Adidas Ambassador at work a couple of years ago, to much groaning from all of the staff, only for David Beckham to walk in! Best surprise ever, spent a surreal 15 minutes talking to him about London, the Olympics, football in general and his football boots

Realising that the radio competition you had entered and won wasn't for a DVD but for a pair of Round the World air tickets and £1k in cash!

At the age of 62 (although over a period of three months) losing my grey hair...it took years off me.

Going to a game away at Leeds in 98 and getting home to find my ex-wife had cleared most of the house out and f***ed off. That was one of the best surprises I'd ever had. And yes it was really a surprise to me but obviously not her.

Sorry, wrongly worded...it went back to it's original colour.

My wife (before we were married) did this. We went out for a meal and she distracted me then threw a home made American flag on a cocktail stick into my pint.

I didn't guess so she told me.

It was very exciting, we were flying out the next morning.

The first sentence would have been more than enough, thanks.
