For the real ale drinkers among us (are there any others?), the Barley Mow, Golden Eagle, Leopold Tavern, and Fifth Hants Volunteer Arms get glowing reports in the Good Beer Guide. All are in and around Albert Road in Southsea, less than a mile from the ground.
