Olympic Legacy

I am what you probably consider Charlton "left", I was and am totally in awe of the Olympics, and as an adult I have full grasp on the fact that the Olympics were bid for, and won under a (new) Labour government, with all party support. I am not claiming a "victory" for the left, nor decrying the Tories for the present situation. The (new) Labour party having a dig at the Tories over legacy is akin to the Tories having their dig at (new) labour over the Millennium Dome, which was conceived under the Tories, with all party support and delivered under (new) labour. Please don't assume all socialist thinking people are anti, stop shouting.

Anything to do with a government fail, will have the charlton left pulling their piece. The Olympics were amazing. End of.

Bizarre and incorrect attempt to bring party/left v right politics into it.

    Fail

Slightly off topic I suppose, but Lewisham Council have just opened a new Leisure Centre called Glass Mill right opposite the DLR. Went down there this morning...stunning. Will be joining all the family up.

FFS there are some miserable feckers on here.

The Olympics in London was a once in a lifetime event, an unbelievable experience that created unforgettable memories for millions of Britons.

Who gives a toss about 'legacy' seriously? For those couple of weeks people forgot all the doom and gloom and had a wonderful time, that's what life is about isn't it?

Agree with this, and anyway in my opinion any legacy will only be measured in 5-10 years when kids who witnessed last summer become adults.

Oh do shut up Henry. For once in your life get down off that horse of yours and just shut it. You're not at New Cross now.

So no example given. No put should mean shut up but you're going on about New Cross whatever that means.

You decided to make this a personal attack on me, not sure why but you've gone right down in my estimation. Times I've stuck up for you on other sites and here.

Another one to add to the ignore list. Shame but there you go.

Oh dear. There he goes again. I really don't think he can see it.

Never mind. I'm sure I'll survive without St Henry of Bickley watching out for me.
