kind of off topic but i'll say again, saw Garland 4 or 5 years ago i think playing for a kent league side and he ran the game, despite weighing more than the other 21 players put together.

Andy Reid I think just has a large frame, didnt one of the fitness coaches say he actually had the lowest body fat than anyone at the club?

    I'm big boned as well.

    Nicola Berti.

I'm sure i saw him "play" down at Welling one pre-season.

If David Whyte had stayed another season he may have ended up 'Garlanded'

Fatty Garland, hands down. Such a shame - quality player.

Kermorgant at Welling last year was huge. Put on at least 2 stone in the off season.

I remember thinking the same thing and it took him a while to lose some of it too. Looks like he's kept away from the cuisine a bit better this year - doesn't look so large in the training pictures on the OS.

Ha. You win that every time you open your mouth, old fruit. Like shearing a pig, as Vladimir Putin put it. All squeal and no wool!!!
Essentially he just said "I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I?"

Fatty Elliot should be a strong contender.

When he dived during that last season with us it was like watching a sack of spuds fall off the back of a lorry..

Yes I remember him commenting that it was one thing when opposition fans called you fat, but when your own fans, of a club you have supported since a child, call you names, that's when you know its time to leave.

Was it Brendan O'Connell, midfielder in late eighties? Looked like he enjoyed a guinness.

I remember Andy Jones being loaned out and coming back almost sylph-like. Normal service was soon resumed...!
