Piss Poor crowd. Doubt there are 3000 here. Thought Paddy would have got a few more.

Much like Matt Wright and Airman, I doubt a lot of our 'current/new/younger fans' know who he is. Probably think, "oh that bloke with the pitchfork"

How many of our testimonials ever saw a decent crowd?

No Hughes in the squad, is he injured?

10 players on the bench; I can't imagine all 10 will get a game in the 2nd half.

Danny Haynes just scored for Notts County vs. Ipswich. They trail 2-1.

A sight no Charlton fan wants to see as Yann collides heavily with an ad board. Early estimates are the board is out for 6-8 weeks. #cafc

No offence to ICT, but their name is'nt the biggest draw in football. Personally, big thanks to them for coming down, but a 3000 crowd probably represents a high level of old gits like me who remember Paddy as a player, plus the younger crowd who go anywhere with the Addicks, and missing a huge proportion of the intelligent fans, who realice it's still july, and know they've got a lot of football at the Valley to look forward to over th coming months. If we¡d played Palace in november, we might have cracked 10,000?

Uninspiring would be the polite way of putting it. ICT have had the better chances. We've offered nothing upfront with Yann looking really isolated. Morrison having a poor game, Gower keeps giving the ball away. All in all a typical Charlton 4-5-1 at home performance.

Perhaps the formation will change after HT - and Piggot will get a run alongside Yann in the 2nd half?
Could be a good experience for him.

give Cousins a go. Really not sure we want bother Gower and Stephens playing at the same time

Both centre halves now looking really uncertain. Half ends with another ICT half chance. We've played very little football and the whole side look worryingly one paced.

Would like to see 4-4-2 in the second half.

Not sure there is anything to be learned by playing a formation that would be suicide in the Chpionship.perhaps SCP is making a point that we at present hold zero goal threat.

Glad I'm working and couldn't make it. Sounds like a bit of a stinker .
  • Our home form is pathetic.

Totally agree. Paddy deserved a better class of opposition but I suppose the cost of policing puts paid to that .

this cost of policing never seems to stop other clubs in london getting some decent opponents though

Midfield is too negative. Gower and Dale 'no left foot' Stephens are sitting too deep and Jacko is drifting out to the left. No one is helping Yann apart from Pritch. Harriott hasn't had a good run at the right back yet.

To who? No sign of MS or TJ. They are the only ones who can sanction moves. Suspect Powell has the cost of any phonecalls enquiring about players deducted from his wages at present.

The striking situation is quite frankly ridiculous. Anyone we bring in now is unlikely to have had a full pre-season so we are looking at another 2-3 weeks before they are up to speed.
