Usain Bolt in Man U testimonial

From twittersphere
He has been saying for some time that he believes he is good enough to play for Manchester United, but Usain Bolt is a man that is confident in his ability to do most things.

The fastest man in the world has continuously said that he wants to play for the side that he supports, and now it seems that he will get his chance.

The Jamaican sprinter has been invited to play in United’s match against Sevilla, Rio Ferdinand’s testimonial game.

Clearly the move is something of a publicity generator, but it does promise to be interesting to see if pace alone is enough to make a footballer. Theo Walcott has certainly been trying to show that.

sure he can run 100m in sub 10 seconds, but can he do it with the ball at his feet, in boots, on grass, with defenders hassling him?

I think he fancies himself as a bit of a cricketer as well.

Brian Lara was playing for Man Utd in some charity nonsense in Barbados that's being show on Sky Sports at the moment.

    What defenders can keep up?
Is supposed to be a handy cricketer.

Can he produce that pace over and over again for 90minutes when he needs to?

Why is it 'charity nonsense' ?

Of course he would never be able to be a pro, but he does actually have quite a bit of footballing skill for a non-player.

Saw him on TV doing keepy-uppies with a tennis ball and looked like he knew what he was doing!
