RIP Adam Bird

His parents have just tweeted that Adam passed away this morning.

Some of you may remember Adam from when he was a mascot down at the valley for the Swindon play-off game and once prior to that occasion too.

Like some others I have since followed his ordeal with neuroblastoma via a twitter account run by his parents for the last couple of years.
Really really sad news and my thoughts are with his family at this time.

    That is so sad, he must only be 8 or 9.

    I remember seeing him in one of the lounges and he had such a beautiful happy face.

    God god, that has got me. As a Dad, I simply cannot imagine what his parents are going through. Had to go outside the office to gather myself after reading that. What courage shown by Adam and dedication from his Mum and Dad.
