Summary
Charlton win a cup game ? Against lower league opposition ? Surely Not!
Ten changes to the starting eleven from the season opener at Bournemouth saw Charlton impress and cruise to what proved to be a comfortable victory. A solid team performance saw Simon Church get off the mark on his home debut, and 19-yr old Joe Pigott also find the target on his full debut. A Danny Green free kick completed the rout as Charlton recorded their most comfortable cup win since 1980.
