Forget the mancave - just use the lawn instead, like I do*.

Funny old world. Spend hundreds of thousands on a house and end up living in the garage

A question for those of you with your man cave in the back of your garden, how do you get an internet connection down there? Do you use wifi or do you hard wire it by ethernet or use some powerline connectors?

I'm keen to get Sky TV down there but begrudge paying Sky another £10pm or whatever it is for mulitroom so am looking at other avenues to stream it down there.

Neither, I invoke my DR plan and revert to an analogue solution - My collection of old jazz mags.

Things may have changed but I used to log in to Sky Sports on my xbox and could stream the channels live.

I know that doesn't help with getting the connection down there, but it's an option for sport.

Yeah, thats the thing. I'd need a fast enough connection to stream my Brazzers subscription...

Yeah, thats really what I meant. I need a signal strong enough to use Sky Go down there. Think wifi is out of the question as the router sits in the living room and the end of the garden is something like 200-250ft away, although I suppose I could upgrade the router having just typed that!

Surely the speed of broadband needed depends on the time it takes for the Mrs to leave the back door and get to the man cave.

It's not a surprise that all the pubs are shutting down, when a) a pint is too expensive for the kids b) the pubcos are selling them for development and every other bloke is spending thousands(?) on a mancave.

I don't wish to go near any chap's mancave thanks!

We're about to start looking at extending our house to give the little'un a bigger room. On of the things the Mrs wants is a downstairs loo/shower room. We'll probably do this by converting the garage, so I'll be left with space for my own Mancave!!!!

    Anyone got one?

Suggestions for items to include? It wont be big enough for a snooker table though :-(

I'll give you a suggestion Dave , don't call it a man cave.

Just chop it up, sling in the back of the van and fly tip it somewhere.

You need on of these a fiat 500 fridge.

If any of you need a man cave check out the grand designs show at excel. Plenty of great choices there
