  • Some Charlton old-boys feel to it now. N'Guessan on for Swindon & Izale McLeod for the other lot.
  • Almost missed McEveley in that group too.
  • Didn't get MOTM then?
  • Wait, does this mean green is this weeks scapegoat
  • Not forgetting Darren Ward everybody.

If we can pick former players or players who aren't even playing for us as scapegoats I see this as a positive. At least then people won't be getting on the backs of players during matches, unless they're going to travel up to Milton Keynes especially... ;-)
  • Green's problem has always been fitness . That's why he tires so easily. He needs a game every week to get match fit. He's a bit of a liability otherwise.

As a professional athlete why on earth is his problem fitness ?

Fitness maybe an issue but I'd imagine the biggest problem is that he's terrible at football. And he doesn't realise it. I'm glad he doesn't play for us for the next few weeks as I go home and away and it's depressing seeing a man earn more than me giving his incredible lack of talent and the fact he's only here because Waggy's contract ran out.

Sounds like he was found out again in League One today, I'm not surprised
  • I hate digging out players but there is a game coming up on the 21st where I don't want players like Green anywhere near our team. For bloody once I want stand up and be counted players to deliver.

He'll still be in MK when they come. And he'll be out of contract the next time they come to the Valley*, thank God.

*precluding the FA Cup third round and playoff smashings of them

  • Just looks a bit out of his depth. Don't know if it's just taking him a while to bed into the MK team but his positioning and anticipation is all wrong.

His positioning and anticipation has always been a big weakness.

People like him because he's got a good right foot, but at Championship level he needs more to his game. Even in League One he was very frustrating when it came to decision making and reading the game. He just doesn't have the football brain and/or pace to go with his ability on the ball.

Can be useful off the bench but that's not going to be enough to win him a new contract. I expect he'll be released at the end of the season if not sold in January.
  • Sold would be an unexpected bonus

Unless he improves a lot, really fast, I can't see ANYONE shelling out for him. Maybe some would take a chance on a free, but at best they'd pay tuppence...

I am a card carrying fully paid member of the rosy specs optimism brigade...
  • A player with talent defeated by a lack of a brain. How much did we pay daggers for him?

Firstly I don't normally criticise players who wear our shirt and Danny is now doing this 2nd time around. However IMO he is not Championship standard. He lacks pace and the ability to beat his fullback, he can't tackle and is a full back's nightmare in front of him (speaking from experience of a similar type of player in my day). Having said this he nearly turned the game around away at Derby last season 2-3 as an impact sub and played a major part in our away draw at MK Franchise in our record breaking promotion season. But the Championship IMHO is a bridge too far for him and to please HENRY, Waggy would have been a better bet at this level.

Green's biggest problem is that he is crap. And I'm so bored of the myth that he has a good right foot. If I hit ten crosses in a match one will probably be a gooden. The others will probably be a mixture of (below) average and poor. Green needs to stop stealing a wage and go back to bricklaying or whatever it was he used to do.
  • Forgot he has his clothing range now, there you go sorted.

    Preach brother.
