Summary

For the first time this season the Charlton crowd left a game both in good spirits, and dry! A huge improvement from the previous Valley outings, the league leaders were toppled and once again Big Yann got one over on the Leicester fans who booed him throughout.

The 3-5-2 formation used in the Huddersfield cup game was maintained, and some strong midfield performances from Pritchard and Stephens in the centre had a big impact. Up front, Yann was at his imposing best, scoring a strong header to put us 2-0 up following a first half opener from Michael Morrison, also a header at a corner.

Leicester were reduced to ten men in the second half after x was given a 2nd yellow for harassing the referee, but although the Foxes pulled one back, Charlton were worthy winners with Schmeicel pulling off two world-class saves.
