  • Got to work tonight so i'm missing the game but i'm flying out to Kiev on Sunday for 4 wonderful days on the lash, ruined by 90 minutes of football on the Tuesday.

Formality game, or Diamond League Athletics on BBC2 ?

Sad state of affairs when I already know its the athletics I'll probably watch more of.

you should know by now that with England there is NO such thing as a 'formality' .. yes, we can beat Spain and draw in Brazil .. but when it comes to the giants of Moldova .....

    3-0 Lambert is 11/1.
    Pathetic odds.

Yeah, had a call at lunch offering a free ticket. Am not an England fan and have never been bothered about seeing them but it should be a laugh.

Rather bizarrely I was waiting for a train at London Bridge when a group of youngsters walked past singing red army with a Charlton flag.

Scorecast odds on this game are a joke, when potentially it's harder to predict the correct score being England.

    Still, Lamps 4-0 25/1
  • Boring 2-0 win.

At least Wilshere is good in the middle, might make up for the other two.
  • I had a little bet with myself that the first disparaging comment would be number 3 - should have rung a bookie.

    Come on England!

  • Couldn't resist 60/1 ht them ft us
    Also lampard 1st gs

Swap Welbeck for The Ox and I think that's a pretty decent line-up.

Was at the game, professional performance if anything. Tuesday is the game that matters. Saw plenty of Charlton boys there tonight!!!!

Was on the tube with a few Charlton boys, good lads.

My only question is why would you punish yourself for life watching CAFC AND England?

Wilshire looks to be our only midfielder who is prepared to take on and beat a player.

Welbeck did well, Walcott not so well.

    Moldova were well organised.

  • Its a calling Macronate, you are born to it. Others without football deep in their soul may be able to follow Liverpool from Maze Hill, or ignore their national team, but they are just playing a role. You are the real deal my friend - be proud of that.

It always comes across like i pick on Welbeck but I still don't rate his all round play. He's got a knack of scoring for England but I think his touch and passing is woeful. Agree that Walcott was poor tho. Hoping Sturridge is fit for Tuesday.

Strange observation as his touch is one of his few plus points.

I'm pretty sure he always controls the ball with his shin.

you need to watch him a bit more then mate. as CAFCsayer says, it's like he always uses his shins.
