Found this, 64 released without charge apparently, no detail as to how many of the other 23 actually secured convictions, presumably not the window cleaner!

"The 87 arrests in Nuneaton relate to when we played Lincoln last season. All of the arrests took place at a pub 2 miles away from our ground after 3pm on a Saturday. I know of four people who were in the pub before the game. They were there to celebrate someone’s birthday; along with the majority of people in the pub. I think police presumed they were Nuneaton fans and surrounded the pub with officers. At around 2pm, the police said that they would escort all of those who wanted to go to the game. Three said they wanted to go, so the police asked them to jump into a taxi instead…(The three were people I knew and have been season ticket holders for as long as I have been! The other had no intention of going to the game).

From then on, the pub was effectively kettled until 3pm when they were all arrested for violent conduct. Obviously, I cannot say whether the kettling or violence started first, however, the whole pub was kettled and all blokes were arrested. Apparently this included the pubs window cleaner who had stopped after for a pint and a father who was having a meal with his family.

Of the 87 arrested, 23 were charged and 64 were released and not charged with any offence.

The arrests were widely reported at the time, with many saying it was Nuneaton Town fans. As The Mirror and state statistics highlight, to this day they are listed as football related. Yet the vast majority of those arrests had no intention going to the football.

The impact of the arrests, the subsequent reporting, and these statistics is already been felt by myself and fellow supporters. Over the last couple of seasons we have been averaging around 1000 fans at home. We have seen an increased police presence at all the games, more segregated games, CCTV installed at the ground, and progressively nervy and overzealous stewarding. All at an extra cost to our club who continually struggle with finances as it is.

Away from home, we are perceived and treated as potential trouble making hooligans by the police, opposing fans and clubs. Moreover, actual hooligans are sorely disappointed when 200 odd ‘scarfers’ turn up! Real and loyal fans deal with the consequences of over the top policing and a minority of trouble makers".

New Ground. Traditional supporter priced out and/or alienated.
    Success.

Most of theirs were banned after Chelsea away 2010 as well.
Newcastle top purely because they lost 3-0 at home to Sunderland haha!

That took its toll on both clubs but I still think their unsavoury support was tolerated by the club through the dark days on the pitch, as they needed any support they could get.
But now the 'undesirables' are not needed/accepted by the club.
That said I'm sure they can and will pull an impressive firm still if the situation requires it
    They're 'sleeping'.

Their firms certainly were impressive on that day that's for sure!

Cardiff are back at Chelsea next saturday

Pretty sure that will be a non event with or without the inevitable ob overkill.

Cardiff will only have 3k or so as a pose to the 7k they had in that FA Cup game. The last encounter was OB overkill but the two mobs were so up for it they just had it out infront of them! I remember the Kings Road was pure carnage.

Never too sure from the you tube clips of who is who. I assume the younger mob are Cardiff and the older are the remaining remnants of the headhunters?

Yeah he got done for this. OB basically pushed both sets of fans towards each other. He was down Southend when we played them on that Friday night game a few years back, I think that was around the same time.
