Back to Mexico ‘86
From the international squads at the 1986 FIFA World Cup 13 players went on to manage English teams in the Premiership.
To help I’ll brake it down to countries.
2 Italian, 1 French, 1 N Ireland, 1 Danish, 4 Scots and 4 English.

thought Aitken had managed Leeds (possibly in the top flight) but turns out he was a coach. A quick search shows he did however manage Villa albeit briefly.

Kenny Dalglish pulled out from the squad with an injury or as some say because Fergie was put in charge after Jock Stien died and Fergie had left out Hansen citing a lack of availabilty (oh the irony!) for friendlies and poor international form. Hansen did have a few mares playing for Scotland to be fair and only ever won 26 caps.
