Clinical finish, really hope he can keep his form up. With Yann hopefully back fit it'll mean more chances for Church I'd imagine.

I could watch that clip over and over and over again... Oh wait ;0)0

Great through ball by Stephens and great first touch and finish by church.0
-
If that was a hand ball why aren't the Blackburn defenders doing their nut given the great view they had ?0
-
Quality goal by any standard.0

Am I the only person that thinks it looks like a clear hand ball ?0

Not a peep from any Rovers player or fan behind the goal says it all really.0 -
I agree, no one complained, so it couldn't have been.TelMc32 said:

Great goal pass and finish top drawer0

I think the movement of Church's left arm is what creates the illusion of hand ball. He takes the ball high and in the middle of his chest. That's why it sits up for him. Fabulous finish. The defenders both know they've been done and don't even turn to the referee let alone appeal.Hastingsaddick said:

looks like a clear handball to me from that clip. If it wasn't, it was a majestic goal.0

;-) I do agree with you CE. From the angle we see, you can certainly make a case for handball. Mundell sums it up best...a sublime goal, from Dale's floated ball through, to Church's great control and take on the volley. Hopefully, he can take a lot of confidence from that and his goal for Wales last week.Covered End said:

Beautiful ball through, beautiful finish. Beautiful three points.0
-
Super set-up and finish.0

He flung his arm forward to stretch the part of his chest that controlled the ball into the optimum position.
Sublime chipped pass through ball, sublime finish, the take was before the ball touched the floor, can't criticise that goal in my eyes.0 -
I just wonder if the perception of whether it was a handball or not would be different if it was the oppo!0

Definatly not handball and would still not be handball if Blackburn done it. The arm is out for balance and the physics of how the ball hits the floor suggests the torso put it there. Great goal for a forward to score.0
-
And to be fair to the rovers fans, I can't see any of them jumping up and down claiming for it. Absolute quality pass, control and finish.0
-
Absolutely superb goal from both Church and Stephens0
