Fair play to John for coming on. Looks to me that he openly suggested that the viewpoint he was trying to get across maybe wasn't as successful as intended and he realizes that.
As previously suggested, I can understand why AFKA or other admins would be upset. Don't really see why anyone else should be majorly offended by something written in a fanzine. If you personally think it is a poor article from start to finish then why take its content to heart?

The article that has everyone's attention on here. The writer has a lot to say, a pity he won't lower himself and join in on the forum as he might find, as with many forums, that you tend to get out of them what you are prepared to put in to them.
Good news that Battle for the Valley is to be updated, looking forward to that.
So, am I not to get an answer about overseas postage costs?
Sorry for the late response, but this is what it says on the order page:
"Due to the way Paypal calculates postage, you will be overcharged by the system if you try to buy more than one copy at a time from outside the UK. If you wish to make such a purchase, please email us and we will work out a way to do it at the correct rate."
There's probably a technical way round this, but orders for multiple copies from overseas are quite rare so it's been easier to deal with cases individually.

The AtoZ of Millwall had the N missing. Which was a shame as it was a very good piece; the perfect counter to all that "it's not our fault" nonsense.
It is, indeed I am going to scan and send it to two of my clients here, one of whom is a Spanner (the other is Forest). He has unwisely given me jip about the convicted Charlton "fans" today, so he's asked for it.
More importantly I reckon it should and could be updated. We could crowdsource it on here. S is obviously for Stuwall, and we could choose all kinds of letters to cover their famous fights with themselves (as well as Wembley, there is the one where they attacked another group of Wall, in the understandable misapprehension that they were Cardiff)....

A friend of mine used to sell the Socialist Worker before and after Charlton matches.
This is not intended as a political point but it was a shame because he invested his peak rugby playing years into doing this. I'm talking about a bloke who represented England Schools at 19 Group level as it was known in those days so a tragedy of unfulfilled sporting potential in my view.
Caviat - I have not read the piece, but, could I ask one simple question which may have made the article different and certainly altered its effect:
Why did Airman write his own balancing piece rather than offering right of reply to AFKA? This is normal practice on this type of article and would have allowed AFKA to have foresight of the article (taking away some of his shock) and published the positivies of his site against the negative views being given.
It may have been a time issue or something but it just seems to me that this would have been a very easy way to resolve the issue.
However, it has suceeded in getting the aritcle and the magazine discussed which it a marketing ploy adopted by many of the greatest (and worst) publications so for that it has propbably succeeded.
