Summary

Charlton recorded a much needed away win, their first of the season, to help lift them away from the relegation places. Tremendous play from Dale Stephens saw him win the ball on the halfway line, before delivering a chipped through ball to Simon Church. The Welsh striker cushioned the ball beautifully off his chest, and before the ball had landed it was exquisitely volleyed past Kean in the Blackburn goal. What followed was a solid and sound defensive performance which should hopefully give the team a lot of confidence. Solid win.
