We'll take our Nikons with us, one with a portrait lens, the other with a 50-200. Will that cover what you need?
I'm sure it will, I use a 50-200 and just give the camera to the first unwilling volunteer I find to just aim about, then I forward them to the Upbeats if they want them. And thanks.
Go on then Steve I'll rise to it........... I never thought anything would surpass my love for Charlton, but seeing the pleasure the Upbeats get from Baileys visit knocks it into a cocked hat.
Just joshing mate, Becks would love it as well he adores people, and I am getting braver and letting him off the lead, he's ok with big dogs but a bit of a bully with smaller, younger dogs.
Has he still got his nuts? I'm guessing he may have. Thinks all dogs need a reminder he's the boss, especially younger dogs because they are a threat to his non existent harem. I may have Xena with me on Saturday and a prettier more loving dog you'll struggle to find. But put another dog in the picture then there's problems...... Even Bailey will cop it she's got the hump, bitches are even worse (potentially, especially if not related) And I guessed you were joshing.
Then it's definitely socialising then mate, when your not following Charlton around the country. I'll come up with Bailey and maybe the other CL Doggers could meet us they have smaller dogs. He wouldn't dare start on Micky, not with Lola backing him up.
Yet another great day spent with the Upbeats today all looking very smart in their new kit. It was good to meet Ken from the Trust and highlight what Bailey brings to the Upbeats and later I hope he saw first hand what his presence brings to the youngsters. (I look forward to the photos) I spoke briefly with some of the parents and answered their questions hopefully as well as I could. Which mainly consisted of how Bailey got to the standard to become a P.A.T Dog and then they said how greatful they were to you guys on Charltonlife as well as Bailey for such generosity, both financially and with your time, its fantastic to see these guys enjoying every moment of their football with the training routines which look a great laugh and the small sided games which any small sign of success is greeted with "High Fives" with anyone close enough to join in, all of which are are joined in with by all the supervisory team, Terry and Company are such an inspiration to everyone they obviously enjoy what they do and the evidence is on the faces of the Upbeats. I got thanked, but the pleasure was mine. I introduced the Upbeats to Xena after Bailey had retired to the car, Xena is "not" a P.A.T Dog but I think certainly has the potential there to become one, obviously Xena has some serious issues so a close eye was kept on her behaviour around the children. Nothing to worry about, plenty of hugs and kisses for our pretty girl and it was like she had always been visiting and the guys love her already.
Good to me you Ray and of course the wonderful Bailey and beautiful Xena. Just writing this up tonight, gotta say I think this a really great act of kindness all around ( including CL for the kit ). Here are a few pics. I will sort out the pics and give you a cd of them. By the way in the third photo Bailey is 'winking' at me

Likewise Ken, thanks for the photos looking forward to seeing the rest of them. I won't be in the lib this week, I'll in one of the lounges at the invitation of the Upbeats. So if you have the cd maybe we could catch up somewhere?
We didn't get there until 1:30, so missed most of it which was a shame. Still worth it to see what the kids get out of it though.
Good to see you again DM, agreed a well worthwhile journey just to see them with great big smiles. Got something in my eye again when one of tiny ones gave Bailey a full on hug and Bailey gave him a great big wet kiss, which was greeted by hysterical laughter. I took myself over into the corner to compose myself.
