FA Cup highlights on ITV

Anyone else watching, feels like ITV really don't want to be showing this but have to. Proper rush job

  • I always enjoy the FA Cup first round apart from when we're in it and losing!
  • Sadly I would rather watch this than MOTD and the premier league bollox, give me a Grimsby v Scunthorpe humber derby anyday over the other corporate rubbish.
  • I love the romance of the real part timers playing league clubs.
  • Deon Burton just missed a sitter for Scunthorpe!
  • So far all the shocks of the round were shown in a couple of minutes and all 0-0s have had extended highlights

  • Ah ok. I'll wait for them. Welling doing well at the moment. Good result as well today...Dartford are poor this season

No Darts yet either. Or Dover.
  • It's hard for ITV in fairness. It's a huge round to cover on a limited budget amd with limited interest. They've no idea where the good games to feature extra are going to be

How exactly do you expect ITV to fit that many games in without it feeling rushed. At Least we don't have to listen to the Hansen/Shearer bullshit .
Well done to ITV for giving the FA cup coverage .

I thought the first few games (the shocks) were their featured games which is why I put the thread up about 10 mins into the show. I didn't realise they were going to have proper featured games after that.

Absolutely love the Wings to get a replay, especially after all their financial problems a few years back. They seem to have a great set up down there at the moment.
  • Pink Balls !

    Thanks for sharing MOG :-)

Sheffield Utd v Norwich City or Fulham, 1pm. Live on BT Sport
Chelsea v Stoke City, 3.30pm. Live on ITV1

    ITV Highlights
    Southend United v Hull City
    Bolton Wanderers v Cardiff City
The TV fee for highlights are £6,750 to each club.
  • Why are they showing Chelsea vs Stoke???????????
  • To be fair it wasn't a great draw.
I'd rather watch Southend vs Hull over the Chelsea or Arsenal games though
  • That classic FA Cup kick off time of 8:10pm
  • Harsh on Coventry. Saturday would be a great day out for the fans. Friday night is a joke. Although as a club they could do with the extra 144k from tv money.
  • Chelsea v stoke?! Did I misread that?
  • Chelsea v Stoke - magic of the cup right there.
  • If our game had gone ahead last Saturday, it would have been recorded for the ITV highlights programme I read somewhere, so that's £6,750 we missed out on...
