Spent hours watching stuff about Anil Koc ( perhaps I didn't spell it right)

Contracts to be signed and deals to be done if true, amazing how the Brighton win made me feel happier in general. At Bolton the talk was of administration and chips and beer at Rochdale, this would be a relief just to know we got an even shot at surviving in the division until next season.0
-
Congratulations Mr Bligh and congratulations Charlton, let's hope we can get a few loan / permanent players in and push upwards, hopefully the contract situations can be sorted as well.mrbligh said:I've just got back from the hospital after having a son AND charlton have been taken over by a Belgian half billionaire.

If true and stability is provided then great news, also if we maintain our league status, the present guardians of the club will leave in credit. Also with the resurgence of Belgium football,a few good young slowness wouldn't go a miss.0

Looks like wynn is repeating the story, it's not a new source.Bedsaddick said:

I think we can safely say this chap would run it as a business and not a toy
Not entirely comfortable about a few things but will reserve judgement until the deal is done.

News to me. Either it's been the most covert operation ever or extremely quick process!Valley McMoist said:

I'm starting to get a little excited that this must be true. If Mick Collins says so...
@MickPCollins: We welcome Charlton's new owner, a man who will be celebrated in the immediate future largely for not being the old owner... #cafc6 -
'The Addicks will be Duchatelet's third involvement in the beautiful game. As well as being the owner of Standard Liège, he is the chairman of Belgian second division side Sint-Truidense, who were relegated from the first division last season.'

"Whether Duchatelet's arrival will affect that situation remains to be seen, but the Belgian millionaire backed Standard boss Luzon with an expenditure of £2.5m in the summer transfer window ahead of the 2013/14 season"
Hey big spender.0 -
Promising. Better get them Oxford cup tickets quick.2

Congratulations, I hope this all turns out to be true, and you can start to move up the league.2

Richard Murray said the other day in millennium lounge that something was near completion and I would mean we wouldn't be moving away from the valley.1

My Charlton barber also told me that that there would be a deal done in the New Year.3

Let's hope it's not all waffle1

Perfect for him.
Get the Eurostar to ebbsfleet, then jump on the Valley express to the game.
Hopefully the valley express will take us to Standard Liege games when we're not playing.1 -
I am very hopeful this is true, Standard Liege have been completely turned around under his ownership with sensible financial backing and cutting of dead wood, the fans have been convinced after earlier widely reported riots and protests, he made decisions that were essential for the club. It also suggests perhaps no obvious move from Valley as an integral part of the deal.
On the face of what we know at the moment, admittedly little, fantastic news for us all. Cant wait for tomorrow and Ipswich away now.0 -
I understand Charlie Sale may have jumped the gun a bit, the deal may not yet be signed, and some other details not quite right. But all the noises sound positive.Joshuk87 said:Richard Murray said the other day in millennium lounge that something was near completion and I would mean we wouldn't be moving away from the valley.

its the size of owner that a club like us should be looking for, not this billionaire nonsense that makes fans forget who we are, how big we are and why we have 108 years of history thus far,
I really hope that it is true done and dusted and we can look forward to a bright new future,
We may not like every decision that gets made and Tbh if its true then SCP will need to be very mindful that the axe may swing, New owners normally want their own man,
but in the long term scheme of this gentlemans new and different thinking on what way CAFC needs to go then it will need to be given the chance to work with support
if a move away from the valley is that way forward and the majority of fans back it, then those like me who don't can not fight it with any sort of vigour
however I believe this sort of owner would not wish to make such decisions
for once since Zabeel I will actually begin to believe this news
for 2 reasons,
1 its been done quickly and very quietly , only the odd message about DD and moving on to a new beginning but then nothing else absolute silence
2 this is not a owner that is a multi billionaire who would have no real interest in CAFC but an interest CAFC the property business and see the football club as a subsidery
we are firstly a football club loved by its fans what ever springs financially from this entity must be secondary to the football club to benefit its owners

Great news. What a great Christmas present.
Seems like a realistic price for the club. Glad TJ finally selling at a reasonable price and I hope that they got their investment back.
The future was looking to be a bit of a struggle.
Now we can look to push on, strengthen and look towards a better second half of the season. Paddy Powell will finally be able to get the pitch sorted and we can see some decent passing football encouraged.
Really looking forward to the game tomorrow. There should be a real buzz around the Valley.

Well, if it's true, no one saw this coming did they?
"Only on the official site..." or whatever it is Henry says but it does sound promising that he appears to be both a football man and a pretty shrewd operator with a social conscience. Not as sexy or exciting as a Billionaire American or a Middle eastern Sheikh but have a look at Cardiff or Hull for what owners with "personality" as Oohahh wants can do to a club.
Sounds like a good match for us if true but hanging onto my party poppers for now.2
