GTA 6

I know its very early but after completing GTA 5 i decided to see if Rockstar had plans for a number 6, One of the creaters said they had enough ideas for 45 years and they are working on a number 6 now.

I also came across this website that gives 5 city's where you would like to be in GTA 6,
http://gamerant.com/grand-theft-auto-6-cities/

My question is if it was your choice where would you play whether its on the list or not personally I like to sound of Las Vegas or maybe somewhere in Australia

  • they did las vegas in San Andreas, would love another san andreas game.

Next GTA is a long, long way away. Looking forward to the next Red Dead game before that.

Was thinking of something like the whole game set in and around the real Las Vegas strip

wouldnt be the "real" las vegas strip, it would have to be las venturas. Having a real place leaves them open to being sued ie having criminals working from a particular hotel or casino.
  • Would love a London one again, even if it's stripped down and put into DLC
  • With New York, LA and Vegas pretty much ticked off, they'll have to go for somewhere completly new on the next one I hope. I'd love it if it were London, but I suspect not. As mentioned above, another Red Dead would be very welcome before they get there.

As I drive around GTA 5, I wonder if any of the map is the same as Red Dead. Seems like they missed a trick by not using a chunk of it, would be funny to drive along a road my horse once rode down.
  • Back in Miami/Vice City, an amazing game that had too small a map. Imagine a full blown ps4 Miami, plus the glades and the keys.

London is very difficult to do, our bobbies rarely carry guns and we have no sea, just the river.

Personally, I would love to see a completely new place explored, and I would have said Chi-Town but that's being done in Watch Dogs, so I choose a Texan theme, maybe based around Houston
  • I’d like to see it go somewhere like Rio De Janeiro. They could build an awesome storyline and environment based around the extreme poverty gap and mix of urban city/plush landscape.

    (will never happen)
  • I'm being biased obviously but London would be great. Las Vegas is too small and would be a big let down after it was included in San Andreas. There are rumours, or more likely false hopes that it'll be DLC for GTA 5.

Rio is a good shout, Tokyo or Hong Kong would also be cool but it's most likely to be America again. Maybe Baltimore and DC, possibly Philadelphia? That's unlikely admittedly, and I don't think there's great countryside.
  • Think I read somewhere from one of the creators that it is always going to be an American setting for the main GTA games.

  • Makes sense. I didn't finish IV because I couldn't stand the guy's accent!

they did Sao Paulo for Max Payne 3. But i think GTA is quite American and Rockstar's parody of America. DC would be an interesting shout... have politicians mixed up in the crime of the ghettos round there.

But from what i hear a new red dead is well in development, it may well be announced at the end of next year i think.
  • They need to do Vice City again. That was the best ever GTA until 5.

San Andreas was better, vice city's soundtrack was badass but the map was too small for my liking. Another san andreas would be fantastic.

Agreed to an extent. The size of Vice City was small, but the atmosphere and Godfather/Scarface-esque storyline was brilliant.

They wouldn't do San Andreas again as GTA 5 was San Andreas.

Sleepings Dogs is basically GTA set in Hong Kong. Pretty good, too. I can actually drive past my house in it!
  • We may well see a London version at some point in the future as the games industry is about to get the same tax breaks as films and TV and part of the qualification for that is a cultural test - so setting the game in the UK would help them with that. (don't forget GTA is made in Scotland)

We're just awaiting the EU to allow the government to extend it to games, they approved the TV one already - but once they do expect to see a lot more British characters in games and UK settings... I'll revisit this thread in March and give you an example of the game I'm working on right now for starters :)
  • Seen lots of comments on here about Red Dead never played it myself, is it any good? and is it closer to a game like GTA which I love or Call of Duty which I hate?

Imagine GTA but set in the wild west.

possibly a better game than any of the GTA's. You play a character that rivals Clint Eastwood's "man with no name" in terms of badassery. It's an absolutely gorgeous game and the story is fantastic. There's an online mode as well, but i'm not sure how populated that is at the moment.

It should be around 20 quid at a game store, maybe less and is definitely worth it.

It's a sandbox game like the GTA's, so the "wild west" gta description is pretty accurate.

  • Will definitely look into it now I never got it before as I said was worried it was to much like Call Of Duty and I cant stand that, I played it once but never again.

honestly get it mate, it's one of the best games I've ever played, and I'm including vice city and san andreas on that list.
  • I notice there is Red Dead Revolver, Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare do they have to be played in order or is it like GTA where the story is completely different with different characters so it don't matter.
  • Red Dead Redemption is the original. The others are expansion packs for extra missions etc.
  • Ok well thanks KentAddick and Ross for your help
  • Undead nightmare is a DLC add-on for Redemption. Revolver is the first one, but absolutely fine to jump straight to redemption. As others have said, I think it's a better game than GTA. Nothing beats bear & cougar hunting. You make money by selling furs & meat from animals hunted, plus a few good side games in there (spent far too many hours playing poker in Blackwater). The map is pretty big, with various terrains, from snowy mountains in the north, right down to the deserts of Mexico in the south.

Go buy it now, I promise you won't regret it..............

RDR is my favourite game of all time, bar none.
