Decent Pub in Greenwich showing Arsenal game Saturday ?

Can anyone help ? I'm meeting at Gooner mate in Greenwich ahead of Saturday's game. He's coming to the match with me btw. He's keen to see City v Arsenal. It's on BT. Just wondered if anyone knows of a pub in Greenwich showing it ? If possible, for my benefit, ideally the pub should be serving some real ale although not essential. Appreciate any suggestions. Cheers !

Not in Greenwich, but what about The Pickwick?
  • Your Arsenal mate is coming down from North London to watch his team in a pub on the TV. Now that is loyalty!

Elfsborg, hadn't thought about the Pickwick despite having had a few pre-match beers there in previous years. Thanks for the reminder, a fall back option if needed and closer to the ground of course. BOC, my mate lives in Belvedere as it happens so this is a rare chance for him to see his " proper local team " !

Hopefully you can convert him Phil.

Elfsborg rang The Pickwick & they don't have BT.

I'm not aware of any pubs in Charlton/Greenwich etc that have BT.

I now live in Essex(shame on me , reeeeeeem) and our nearest team is Spurs , is it wrong for my boys to support Charlton or is that ok :-)

The Mitre has BT Sports, that would be my recommendation, or the Vanbrugh.

Suggest you have a look on hear mate: http://sport.bt.com/pubfinder-01363814402021
  • The Royal Standard and Bugle will show it.

Of course, but do you really want to punish the poor lads like that?
  • pretty sure the royal oak has got bt sports. not in Greenwich though. I'll go with the mitre then.

The Royal Standard and Bugle will show it.

The Bugle will not show it. The Bugle has Sky.
  • Call the pubs and find out, from past experience you usually get the correct answer and don't get a bum steer.

Thanks for all the heads up on the pubs and other comments. Thanks for checking Elfsborg, appreciate it. I will call ahead to be sure as with BT is a little different to Sky seeing as they are more established. AFKA it's possible, my mate's initials are KC. Could it be the same geezer ?

I've been to The Bugle most games this season & they still have Sky but no BT.

So are you saying they now have BT ? Or are you just being funny ?

Yes. I saw you come in. I was crammed in the corner. I was going to say hello, but didn't see where you went and others would have had to get up & shuffle around to let me out. I told your mate The ROD had BT.
  • I'm saying i watched Man City beat Arsenal 6-3 in the Bugle.

Normally show all games weather on Sky or Bt.
