On the golf theme, being a Phil Mickelson fan his win at The Open was my year's highlight. The US Open was great as well with Justin Rose, and The Masters. The PGA didn't quite have the drama but it was nice to see Jason Dufner win, it was a good year for majors.
Best - in the crowd watching England parade by with the urn shared with last game of the season against Brizzle and Powell's speech. Worst - being at Wembley watching the nigels beat Watford.
I wouldn't disagree with this. A simply brilliant performance by Treve and a perfect ride by substitute jockey Thierry Jarnet. Must have been a nightmare for regular jockey Frankie Dettori, injured only a few days beforehand.
Keep meaning to get to The Arc and The Grand National, but always change my mind when I start adding up the cost.
Wigan winning the Cup was dramatic and heart-warming. Don't tell me the Cup doesn't matter anymore.
