I am 32 and fitness levels are pretty good sadly can't say the same for my football skills. I can just about beat my son in a game of 1 vs 1, but he is only 5.0

36 very unfit (in cup final program, i played in with paulbaconsarnie 15 years ago, i was described as the unfittest 21 year old ever..... and i've got worse!!) i've played in goal for 7 years due to dodgy knees and groin but just started playing vets footy this season back out on pitch, nearly as gifted but twice as lazy as morts!!0

If I was playing, the medics would have to deal with a 47 year old. I think I'll come along and take a few photo's though.0

Does he take bribes0 -
I am with AFKA on this - I have injured nearly everything playing footy and a knee op pretty much ended any hope I had on playing 11 a side again. I play indoor at a half decent level, but suffer for it constantly. Only an addiction to playing keeps me going now. Think I am reasonably fit, will find out on the day.
I think the biggest problem is going to be finding a balance between the two teams (twice over) so that a mixture of abilities and fitness on both will mean that both teams can enjoy a non-competitive, competitive game if you get my meaning.0 -
[cite]Posted By: Oggy Red[/cite][cite]Posted By: DaveStorry[/cite]45. Anyone older playing. ?
Only stopped playing regularly recently. Still doing 5-a-sides weekly
Me too, Dave, but ......I used to be 45 once.
Surely, there's gonna be somebody out there older than me (gulp) ?[/quote
YEP, that`ll be me then : (0 -
I think AFKA has got his work cut out picking out two equal sides for two different games. Will obviously be more fun if the teams are reasonably even. However, I am sure we'll have a couple of glory boys on show who will not be interested in passing just trying to score themselves. Should be a great day though.0

32 still fairly fit although had a hernia op last year and never quite regained the fitness I had prior to it...0
