Any of the US /Canadian contingent on here caught up in the Polar Vortex?? We are escaping it here in Western Alberta, although its still quite cold at -12 but its warming up. We are used to extreme cold so no big deal but some of the places getting this polar blast will be struggling.

    My sister-in-law lives in Nebraska City - according to weather.com it's currently -22 degrees C with the wind chill making it feel like -30. Today's high is supposed to be -16 degrees C! Suddenly a little bit of wind and rain doesn't seem so bad - their weather advisory is fairly explicit: hypothermia and death!
