3 day trip in Barcelona

  • Makamaka burger bar down by the beach, towards the south end, is really good.

Burgers came out medium if I remember correctly (in case the kiddos don't like that).
  • I’m going to Barcelona for a long weekend next month so I am interested in further comments and suggestions for places to eat and bars to go to etc
  • Llamba tapas restaurant in El Born. One of the best tapas places I've ever eaten in. Need to book.
  • I was only there for a few days a couple years ago (and spent most of that indoors with torn ankle ligaments) so I could only go a few minutes from where we were staying in Sant Antoni. This place was pretty good: https://rabipelaoraval.negocio.site/. More of a grownups/late night bar and eatery though.

Haven't been for three or four years but this place in Barceloneta was recommended by a local and we loved it - https://www.barjaica.com/

Very informal, difficult to get a table but people just squeeze in at the bar or make use of whatever there is to lean on. Not a fine dining experience, but a great place if you like tucking into a tasty selection of whatever the fisherman caught that morning. It's not expensive either (putting aside the dismal exchange rate).

Best bar in the city is Two Schmucks, seriously consider checking it out if you can.

If you need a nice restaurant for a romantic dinner, try La Isabela on the rooftop of Hotel 1898 on Las Ramblas.
  • Have been to Barcelona a few times - great place to look around but always did it on the cheap so can't remember anywhere special to eat.

Some good coastal resorts south of the City and plenty of amazing architecture.
  • Seem to remember a casino there and a half built church....
