I met RAF Sgt Matt Sanders this morning at a Help for Heroes stand near Grimsby. In early March he and several other forces personnel are undertaking a 300 mile, six day mountain bike ride across Vietnam. The ride is in tribute to Lee Rigby and to raise funds for Help for Heroes. Matt tells me that he is a total novice at biking, so good luck with that !
Anyone interested in checking out the route and the details of the ride and/or sponsoring Matt, his website is : http://ridevietnam2014.com

    Good luck to them.

I can't understand though why all these charity events take place in exotic places that use up money to get to? Couldn't they cycle round the coast of Britain instead or do the LEJOG instead? Which would save money.

^^^ Matt was accompanied by a very charming and pretty oriental lady when I met him .. perhaps she is the 'Vietnamese connection'
