Summary
A case of after the Lord Mayor's Show at The Valley, with the game never living up to the tempo or the quality of the Brighton encounter three days earlier.
Following a dull first half, Dale Stephens opened the scoring just after the break with a quality feint and finish in the box. However, Wednesday controversially equalised twelve minutes later with Wickham tapping from a clear offside position. Charlton were robbed of the victory, though in fairness no one could really complain a draw was an unfair result as both sides appeared more concerned with not losing.
