No club would be stupid enough to claim an outgoing player is ill or injured before the transfer window is even open would they....
    'Club' in the loosest terms!

Just incredible, they really believe we are that naive
  • Watt has all the potential in the world and you'd think at some point he'll say to himself 'I've gotta knuckle down now'. Robinson's ultra happy clappy style could be just what's needed to get him playing well, and exactly the opposite to what Slade did. A motivated, fit Tony Watt would rip League One apart.

He may even score a goal!
  • He has got a major attitude problem. He also doesn't want to be down south. The whole reason he went to Hearts is because he wants to be near his Family. Hearts supporters are not overjoyed by him.

To be fair most teams feign injury/illness of players that are just about to leave

    But Daisy does not lie.
  • Once Lookman leaves we will only have one attacking player left in the squad (in Holmes). Our key problem this season has been that we're crap going forward (our defensive record has actually been ok). The likes of Watt, Carruthers & Reeves have the potential to give us the attacking threat we lack.

New year, new manager, new challenge...

Welcome back Tony if this is true. Hopefully you can replace Ajose from as early as the Bristol R game before we lose touch on the top 6.

Is this the Carruthers who has 4 goals in 84 appearances? And Watt who has 4 goals in the last couple of seasons?

I'm fairly sure Big Mac would be quite upset at not being included as an attacking player. A few others as well.

  • One question, does he pass the CL height test?
Why is Karl standing on a box? He's not? Holy shit, that's guy's short.

Commentating on the Hearts game just now, Chris Sutton said that he heard that Tony Watt will be returning as KR wants him

    Ajose sold back to Swindon?
  • Fair point SHG. I do rate Big Josh but think he's more of a target man rather than a flair / out and out attacking player who drives us forward...like Holmes, Lookman, Watt etc have done / can do.

Yep he is on stunning form in a league that Big Josh rates weaker than League 1 - 1 goal in 16 appearances, but at least he source extra pies and beer for KR.

Past records aren't everything mate. People on this forum said Kermogant and Magennis would be useless based on their records.....and Ajose was supposed to be smacking them in left right and centre because he had a good past record for one season.

Watt is better than what we currently have on the pitch and is much more exciting to watch than the dull brand of football we have watched so far this season.
Carruthers isnt even a Striker is he so dont know why people are moaning about the fact he only has four goals!!
  • Magennis
    Reeves Watt Holmes
    Ulvestad Carruthers
    Chicksen/Dasilva Bauer Tex Solly
    Rudd

Playing KR's favoured style... I very much like the look of that side.

Aren't number 10s are usually known for their passing...

  • Only Watt himself knows if it is worth him coming back, or going elsewhere for that matter.

He is too old to be a prospect and has all the chance of being a never was. Sad to say, but I think it is the latter.

Needs a punch on the nose (or probably a good hiding) for wasting the opportunity that kids across the world can only dream of; and do work their buts off to try and achieve.

Fucking it up through lack of effort is just so unbelievable. What would you have given to be in his position? Blokes a twat. Such a waste of incredible talent.

Think he will make a great pot man one day. So sad. But we have not the time and can not risk the disruption to give him the therapy he needs.
  • Sounds like we need to bring him back then as the new scapegoat if Fox is on his way.
  • Oh, and by the way, I think it has nothing to do with Robbo wanting him. I think Rolly wants a fee for him and bringing him back is the best way of achieving this.

Not going to get much for him after 1 goal in about 15 games for Hearts though.

Not one single goal scorer in that side
  • I love tony watt
  • Probably accurate but don't forget that saying a player is not for sale is code for make a decent offer.

Article also says Millwall are not going to strengthen so obviously Harris has no latitude for tinkering. A few bob might make him rethink.

My spanner supporting family all say that Millwall tend to be very long ball so a passing midfielder might not be altogether missed.

Richard Cawley has just reported that a midfielder is due to sign tomorrow....which hopefully means the mystery player will be available for the Bristol R game.

    No idea who it is!
