This has become a huge game! The right result could do wonders for the morale of the players, manager and us long suffering fans. In my opinion this would mean the following has to happen...

A comfortable victory (3-0 will do nicely)
A clean sheet and a commanding performance from Thuram
Goals for our new striking duo of Reza and PP
A SCP tunnel fist pump at the end
3 precious points!

Anything I have missed?

I was trying to inject some positivity into proceedings.

Agreed, coupled with some nice football would be good

I'd rather we got 3 points

  • This is a question anyone now how the state of the pitch is at the moment .is the cover over it still and has the pitch improved or not.
Thinking of coming over but 7 hour drive and more bad weather on the way, have to think hard about it.

The last I heard, was that we were keeping the cover indefinitely.

I'm not able to go to many matches these days because of shift work but I will be there this Saturday against Birmingham. I hope I am not the kiss of death here, but when I've been to the Valley over the last two years, I haven't seen us lose. Here's hoping that long run may continue?!

The pitch is relatively dry (after a fashion) and flat but with little grass. The big question will be when will the ground staff remove the cover and how long after that will it take for puddles to reappear if it rains heavily on Saturday.

    Time will tell as always.

Long time till Saturday and the inaccuracy of forecasts is legendary but if the one I've just seen on BBC breakfast proves to be correct then the chances of the game starting/finishing on Saturday must be minimal.
