Following the sad passing of Phil Everly recently those wonderful people at BBC Four are showing, back to back, an Arena documentary from 1984, " Songs of Innocence and Experience" followed at 10.35 by their 1983 Reunion Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

The most successful singing duo in pop history, they influenced so many who came later, including The Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel and The Beatles.

Anyone, young or old, interested in popular music of the last 60 years won't be disappointed. Superb!

    I stumbled on to the original broadcast of the reunion concert at the Albert Hall many years ago. Was spellbound. Total class, total and utter class.
