say 10 mins to go, somebody cues the crowd and we all instantly crank up the noise level, flash-mob style...the away team will be feeling tired legs and be put on the back foot, the charlton players will get a sudden boost...
I'd prefer it if we were 3-0 up and didn't have to worry about needing a surge.
Also you have to be playing at the same time as the other teamto get that effect you had on Saturday.
Trying to artifically boost the crowd rarely works. IF BDL had just flashed up a "sing up NOW" message would that have had the desired effect? It needs the fans themselves or the actions of the players to do that. (or Sheff Utd losing of course)
