Blackpool AWAY and Travel NEXT SEASON

Anyone planning on going to Blackpool on the last day of the season by train will find travelling fun and games as the line around Watford is closed off that weekend for works. As it's a 12:15 kick-off it will be a struggle to get there for kick-off using alternative routes from other London stations and cutting across unless you get a VERY early train before 6am.

There will also be periods on and off during next season when the same stretch line will be shut off again for the same works so alternative routes may well come into play again though maybe not as hard if you have a 3pm kick-off.

Otherwise it may involve taking a replacement coach part of the journey as stated in the website link pasted below which explains it all.

    Are you sure it's 12.15 ko? Travelling up on the Friday so doesn't bother me too much, but Saturday afternoon and evening will be even more messier now.

    OS has kick-off marker 12:15 now and I saw it in an away programme that a last day kick-off was 12:15. Last day Championship kick-offs are usually early so they can broadcast on Sky one or two of the games. Inder current deals Championship Saturday games sjown at lunch times have kick-off at 12:15 this season.

    doesn't have 12.15pm kick off in Saturdays matchday programme but the OS says 12.15pm

    The football league has confirmed all games in championship our at 12:15 on Saturday. Hotel already booked. Will be a pain going back on the sunday.

    I can picture it now, we're home and dry 3 nil up with 2 minutes to go, but we need Bournemouth to beat Millwall on the last day as well to stay up. Queue Yann thrashing home a last minute winner vs Millwall at the Den to keep us up.

    Had a quick look on National rail. £85 to go on the friday and return on the Sunday. Wasn't expecting it to be that much>

    As TheBrand says - All Championship games are 12:15 kick off on that day.
