    So sad, he was involved in the making of some iconic films from my childhood. He was also due to reprise his role as Egon in Ghostbusters 3.

    Could still do it but from the other side of course!

    RIP, he is a face from quite a few classic films.

    Apart from the iconic appearances in the Ghostbusters films, he also wrote and directed Groundhog Day, and had writing credits on Animal House, Caddyshack, Stripes etc. Sad loss. RIP.

    very sad news. Great actor and director. Guessing the rumoured ghostbusters 3 won't happen now.

    Heard this on the radio coming home. Very sad news and as others have said I too have fond memories of his films.

    Sad news. Stripes was one of my favourite films growing up as a kid and I only watched it again last month on one of the obscure TV channels...
