Damn, have a hotel booked for the weekend in Sheffield... Only going to be able to get tickets if they (somehow) make general sale, which seems very unlikely Anyone want to help me out?!
I can give u my con number so you would have to go to the valley otherwise they will come to my address.
Drove into the car park at 10.45 this morning dreading seeing a massive queue. There was a couple at the window being served, no one else. Another bloke got out of his car same time as me with ST's in his hand and we looked at each other, it was like the Dave Allen Funeral sketch. He looked like he had a bit of limp so I did the decent thing and let him get ahead of me and strolled very slowly behind. All done and dusted in no time, got my 8 tickets. There were 3 people in the queue by the time I'd finished. The bloke did say queues were massive between 9 and 10am though. Upper sold out by the time I got there.
The Upper tier isn't quite sold out cos I just got a ticket there. I was offered a choice, which is always a nightmare for me. They only had singles left up there, so if you're buying more, you're lower tier now.
Rumours of a feck-up this morning. My mates wife Is in the queue with his season ticket and Con numbers for the two people he is buying for and the security guards are telling her that the website is wrong and hat it's one ticket per ST holder. I'm assuming that the security boys are wrong but this could get tasty!
I was at the ground from 08:30 and I can assure you that never happened.
He was probably outside The Emirates like last week.
What Is It Like For Away Supporters? Away fans are housed in the lower tier of the Jessica Ennis (aka the Bramall Lane) Stand at one end of the ground, where around 3,000 supporters can be accommodated. For cup games if the demand requires it, then the upper tier can be made available too. Bramall Lane is a great place to watch football as the stands are located close to the pitch, the views are generally good, as well as the atmosphere too. Chris Bax adds; 'Any tickets still available for the away end can be purchased from two dedicated away ticket windows just up from the turnstile entrances'. On the concourses there are television screens showing the game going on inside as well as a betting outlet. Food is available in the form of Peter's Pies (£3), Burgers (£3) and Hot Dogs (£3.50). Prepare to be searched on entry into the ground by the stewards. The Club have automatic turnstiles, meaning that you have to insert your ticket into a bar code reader to gain admittance.
The United fans are particularly passionate and vocal about their club. This makes for a great atmosphere at games, but also can make it somewhat intimidating for the away supporter. It was one of those grounds that by just listening to the crowd you could tell what was happening on the pitch. I found it quite amusing as having to go for a leak just before half time, I could hear the home crowd shout Goo-on as a Sheffield United attack began. Then this got louder & louder as the United team got closer to the goal, Goo-on, Goo-on, Goo-On! and then the air turned blue as whoever it was missed the chance!
Will be sold out by tomorrow morning/afternoon, I'd suggest those with hotels booked etc but can't buy until general sale, try their best to get one sorted today. Always ways
Would definitely suggest mailing the club/speaking to someone/begging people for con numbers on here if you went to Hudds away (no proof), and have been to 3 other aways. That would be very harsh and unfair if you couldn't go.
Wouldn't let me buy any tickets today. Please bare in mind I've been to Oxford, Doncaster, Burnley to name a few this season. Quite annoyed actually, I paid cash for a lot of them on the day so no record I'll be pissed off if I don't get one.
Living in Bedfordshire I had problems getting my tickets this morning. I only had 2 Sheffield Weds tickets on my CON card as I bought another 2 on the door. I called up for the 4 and was told I was only allowed to buy 2 tickets. Luckily for me I was advised to email tickets@cafc.co.uk with a scan of all 4 stubs along with my CON card, and they called me back to book all 4

Can I please ask for your suggestion that the club can use for a fairer way?
It's impossible to please everyone. Especially if our ticket office have no record of what you've done.

maybe if you have train or petrol receipts around those towns on the day or receipts for drinks & meals you could make a appeal.
