I have been told he has gone back to Forest. Wonder why ? He was a squad member and probably just as likely as Church or Sordell to get a goal.

I got slaughtered when i said i was a tad underwhelmed by his signing.
  • Crikey!! Intriguing if true.

I did think he was a bit of an odd signing, almost desperate really.

At the risk of simply inventing a conspiracy where there is none, it did occur to me last Sunday that Duchatelet and his advisers may have been as surprised and concerned by who Chris Powell selected for the FA Cup QF as by who he left out, especially when the team's set up seemed so ill-judged. Could it be that Tudgay, clearly a player that Powell did sign, was as much a source of disagreement and tension at the Club as were the players from the network which he clearly did not sign?
  • Cheers Tudgay for all you done, superstar. It's funny how much the club are telling us at this moment in time, feel like I'm supporting a foreign club. Ain't got a scooby what's going on except during a match.

Brian why ask the question if you thought you knew the answer? Would be a shame if he has gone back, it's all about having options at this stage of the season, especially when we're struggling for goals and he was a proven Championship forward (if a tad past his best).

    lol
  • Thought Tudgay looked as if he could be useful. Certainly helped change the game against QPR.

Would have him ahead of Simon Church every time.

Proper experienced Championship player who was probably one of the few happy to join a struggling side with a crap pitch.

I don't know the answer Callum, I was told by a lister from another forum after I made the original posting on this site that he had gone back to Forest. There is nothing on either our site of Forest's web site to say he has gone back so I don't know. I was curious as he came on as sub v QPR and started against Sheff Utd but did not feature Wednesday or yesterday. I was only asking if anyone on this list knew for sure.

    12.05 to be precise.

  • Could well have gone back to Forest, as they have so many injuries.
The fact he started out against Sheff Utd could have been one
of the reasons CP was sacked. Reza was only on the bench.
Will never believe RD sanctioned the move to get him here anyway.

Ha. What are you saying ?

Powell smuggled him in without telling anyone. Forged Prothero/ Meire/Parkes's signature on the loan form & was paying him out of his own pocket ?

So people written him off after a game at Sheff Utd where everyone was shite and our attacking tactics awful.

If he has gone back i hope we have plans to bring someone else in or at least hire a striking coach to teach those who are here to shoot properly.

Majority of time even during the Prem years this has always been the way. Maybe at times they have flowered the lack of communication with small facts but the meat that we want to know is held back.

Has gone back to Forest this morning according to text from the Club.
  • He's not been playing and there is little point him being with us if he's not going to get a game - especially when Forest are so close to making the playoffs but have lost five and drawn three of their last eight games. He might be able to help them over the line to 6th - it's clear that the strikers playing for them are not doing it at the moment. With three goals in their last seven games they could do with someone that can find the back of the neck.

    We want our Charlton back!!!
  • As I said when Joe Pigott was recalled to the club... I'd have been surprised had Tudgay remained with us

Maybe he's gone back so we can get Petrucci and Eagles in and had we kept Tudgay then it would have been pointless with the loan spots available
