Summary

Have some of that, 'Arry Boy!

There is no better feeling than a last minute winner, and Captain Jacko couldn’t have been a more fitting player to grab the much-needed points.

QPR rolled into The Valley with a star-studded team packed with Premiership quality, further boosted by the loan signing of Ravel Morrison. But it was Charlton’s fledgling midfield pair of Poyet and Cousins who stood out as the stars of the show, with the later seeing a low effort from the outside the box bounce back from the post.

QPR had lots of possession, but rarely threatened, and Charlton got about them in terrific, dogged fashion. As the game progressed, the introduction of Ajdarevic saw the momentum shifting towards the Addicks, and he nearly won it in injury time as his curly 25yd effort was expertly tipped away by Robert Green.

From the resulting corner, deep at the far post Jacko popped up to net the late late winner, and The Valley went proper bouncy loopy nut nut, no one more so than Jacko who promptly jumped into the North Lower.

Massive win for Charlton, and a fantastic boost ahead of a big cup game.
