I've been doing some marketing and strategy work over the past few months with a very smart jewellers and silversmiths in Edinburgh. This afternoon I was due to present to the board on the marketing plan for the coming year. I've just had a call from the PA. The meeting has been cancelled:

"because the major shareholder can't get here - his private jet isn't working."

That beats the normal "someone is ill" lame excuse!

    You'd think so but it's really in code. It's actually means he's got prostate problems....
