So my boys want to get players' autographs before the game ...

Anybody know what time the players start to get to the ground for a home game?..

Early mate. I have seen them there at 1pm for a Saturday match.

Bought my ticket for Yeovil game around half three last week, and Jordan Cousins, Andy Hughes, AA all arrived as I was walking to the ticket office, so sometime around then.

Ok, we're aiming for 5.30pm for a 7.45pm kick off - hopefully we'll catch some of them!

Good luck. Much easier afterwards - they all come out between 5.30 and 6 for a 3pm klick off (like Friday...).

This is much easier to do after the game than before as some will arrive for pre match meal and some wont. You will need to be there more than three hours ealy for those going for the meal and more than 1 and a half for others. In some cases for evening games they could be at the training ground first and arrive on the coach which goes straight in to a controlled area without player appearing.
I know it's hard on an evening game but after may be better.
  • Some sleep overnight at the ground in case there are any problems on the trains.

Yeah I saw Reza coming out at 10:20 after the Yeovil game, I presume other players would have been at a similar time.

Yeah it takes at least an hour for them to be able to leave after, but some will have to stay longer for interviews and presentations in lounges, meetign friends etc (even if we lose).

You sure he was kicking the door or was he aiming for the door and ended up kicking the wall?

Remember getting on the train with Steve Jones once...wasn't interested in his autograph though...guess it's a kid thing, not knocking it mind, just not for an older chap like myself.

Why do they want autographs of that useless lot? tell them they aren't worth bothering with and they should wait until we have some decent players, they will then have grown out of it before this happens-then they can hand this 'custom' onto their own children, who in turn can hand it onto theirs.
This way you have ensured many future generations of Charlton fans without actually having to hope for the impossible- a decent team.

A friend of ours daughter was mascot at a Leeds away game, this was years ago now, and she had a ball she was getting all the players to sign. Nigel Martyn, at the time playing for England, walked over and asked if she'd like him to sign it to which she turned round to him and said "no, this is for Charlton players only."
