Charlton vs Watford (if we hadnt had a cup run)

Was thinking about this game and what the score may of been if we'd played it when we were meant too.It came at a time when we were struggling for results anyway so would we of rolled over and lost? Would we be a lot more nervous than we already are if we'd lost or would we be three points richer and looking forward to next season.Thoughts?

Would have been postponed, due to the pitch.

Pointless question IMO might as well say if we never got relegated from the Prem would we be in the Champions League by now, it never happened and it has fallen this way, lets just get on with it and not look back

Lol just saying why look back and wonder what if, what if Marvin Sordell never scored the hat-trick, what if Harriott had scored that open goal against Sheff Utd, you can what if everything in a season, nothing will change

What if I had never been born, there would be no-one to argue this post, and my brother would be a lot happier lol

So many variables at work - fixture congestion and exhaustion, adding effort to what is generally going to be the most tiring part of the season anyway...

That said, it's not a bad question - to think that the extra stress may actually work in our favour is crazy.

The other pertinent question would be what would have happened if Donny had not been abandoned!!!

This, absolutely. Far less 'if this' or 'if that' with the Doncaster game - we would almost certainly have lost that game. Take 3 points from us now and add 3 to Donnie - it wouldn't look good!!

We would have been playing with the tide in the second half.......

A good question - it amounts to a six point swing between us and them. In all honesty I don't think anyone (other than Dickov) could say
    the game should have continued.

Even if it's another team above them, and we are 4 points ahead IMO.
If they go down by a point or 2 they will be fuming over that game.

The other what if is what would have happened if we'd beaten Sheff Utd?
    1) Could he have sacked CP if we'd won comprehensively?
    2) What would our league form have been like, would we have beaten Yeovil (the league game before the Wembley semi final)

What if the ref had given the pen against Bolton.

Could be packing my beach ball for a holiday in Liverpool.

And then the Tuesday game gets called off due to the Tube strike, so we have to play Thursday, Friday and Saturday...

If Watford fail to win today then they can't make the play offs which would hopefully help us for Tuesday if they're no longer in the shake up.

I do wish we could play Wednesday, guaranteed win.
